Botanicals / Sacred Geometries
Flowers and vegetables have long been used as metaphors for fertility and the cycles of life. I am interested in the animate qualities of certain flora and the enduring sensuality of these forms. The obvious erotica, the sense of time evident in the fleeting blossom, the sheer beauty, and the fragility of life expressed by a flower do not lose their power despite centuries of representation. Many human constructs derive from these patterns in nature and some have assumed mystical properties.
